Pahang property

Pahang offers three quite different markets: Kuantan, the east-coast state capital, where freehold serviced flats sell from about RM200,000; the Genting Highlands and Genting Permai resort belt in Bentong district, under an hour from Kuala Lumpur; and the older hill station of Cameron Highlands. The six completed projects below run from student-area studios in Kuantan to highland penthouses above RM1 million. Foreign buyers need a price of RM1 million or more, state EXCO approval and a state levy.

Buying, selling or renting

The steps and costs

Stamp duty, legal fees and RPGT are federal and work the same in Pahang as elsewhere in Malaysia. Read buying a subsale property, selling your property and renting out a property, and use the buying costs calculator for your own numbers. Foreign-buyer rules are the part that differs by state, so they are set out above.
