Frequently asked questions
Is this checker the final answer?
No. It applies the published MOTAC terms (and the Sabah and Sarawak state terms) to your answers. The final decision is made by MOTAC or the state. I check your case with a MOTAC-licensed MM2H agent before you apply.
Can I use ringgit for the deposit?
The federal categories are set in US dollars and Sabah and Sarawak in ringgit. Pick the currency you have and, if it differs, type in today’s exchange rate so the checker can compare.
Why does Johor need RM1 million when Silver says RM600,000?
MM2H does not replace state rules. Johor and Kuala Lumpur generally set RM1 million as the minimum for foreign buyers, so the higher figure applies.
What if no category fits yet?
Message me with your numbers. Sometimes a different location, a later date or putting the deposit in a different currency changes the answer.
Want me to check your case?
Send me your age, deposit and where you want to live. I check the category with a MOTAC-licensed MM2H agent and shortlist homes that qualify.
